Small business: Why you need a great website
Almost every small business needs to have a great website.

But what exactly is a "great" site and how do you know if your site is one of those?
If you want to sell your products online, there's no way around it - you need an e-commerce website (both for online shopping as well as for selling wholesale). If you're a sole trader, then a website is a key tool in maintaining - and growing - your business.
What exactly do you need? This depends on your type of industry or profession .
If your business is working in, say, the travel industry (hotels, restaurants and attractions), the main requirements are easy to understand. You need a website that:
a) Is user-friendly (so anyone can look at the site without becoming confused) and
b) Takes care of customer satisfaction (so that clients come back for repeat business).
If you business is an online service, you need similar features, plus ones that allow easy communication with your customers, such as a service request form, chatbots or live messaging.
Finally (this one is important) remember is that you need a website which is focused on your customers - not you. It should be a representation of your business, your point of different within the marketplace and importantly optimised for a large number of devices out there.
