Year in review: 2020

Ben Hayward • Dec 24, 2020

2020 was a positive year for my business.

IF you had told me 18 months ago this is where I'd be I probably would have laughed and said "I wouldn't have the time". To be fair, I was working full time in local government, pondering a new direction (these days I'm fortunate enough to be working with a very dynamic firm) however researching and implementing the right processes and tools has enabled me to manage many competing priorities and outside of direct consulting activities would be a key achievement this year.

Making time? Or managing existing time better

As any small consultancy or business will tell you, there never seems to be enough 'time'. Managing my available time and expectations is a continuous improvement process and a key personal priority for 2021.

On a business front, I continually research new digital tools and processes that may benefit clients to improve productivity, brand positioning and customer engagement. It's been a great experience working with many diverse industries in 2020 and designing custom solutions that enable them to meet their goals.

What's better than a massive, optimised audience? A laser-focused, niche-oriented audience. With performance max campaigns, your ads show only to people most likely to convert-meaning that you can spend more time fine-tuning your strategy and spending less time chasing leads who aren't ready for your product or service.
